We can assist you to set up a UK company or a branch of your overseas company in the UK. You will then need to comply with the UK immigration requirements if you wish to depute your overseas personnel to work in the UK.

Currently the work permit system still applies but very soon Tier 2 of the new Points Based System (PBS) of immigration into the UK will go live. Your UK office can now apply for a Sponsorship Licence to be able to sponsor foreign workers who can enter the UK for work under Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS).

A senior employee can be brought to the UK from overseas under a "Sole Representative" visa or the "Highly Skilled Migrant" (tier 1) category to start the process. Once such a person arrives, the UK office can be "opened" and the work permit application process can start.

Once the foreign workers (IT staff, engineers or consultants) obtain their work permits (or CoS later this year), they can work on client projects in the UK and can be billed out to clients.
